But of course you don't necessarily have to reveal your curiosity: If you prefer to look at WhatsApp status secretly, you can do this with a small change in the data protection area.
View WhatsApp status secretly: This setting makes it possible
- Open
WhatsApp and go to “Settings”. - There you will find the point “Data protection” which you click on.
- Further down there is the note “Read receipts”, which has probably been marked green for you and therefore activated.
- If you disable read receipts, you can view someone else's status without being recognized.
- In addition, the two blue checkmarks will no longer show your counterpart that you have read the WhatsApp message.
- However, this also applies the other way around: You can no longer see who has read your messages or viewed your status.
