America imports far more goods than it sells abroad. The future President Donald Trump has therefore announced enormous pressure on other countries in order to get the American trade deficit under control. Little attention is paid to the fact that for decades the USA produced the largest surplus in the world in another area – in income from tourists traveling abroad. Trump's business activities benefit directly from this with the Trump Hotels chain, which operates city hotels in New York and Chicago as well as a number of golf hotels in the USA and around the world.
