Career
In 1986, he made his debut with the Odia film ‘Paka Kambal Pot Chhata,’ but he came into the limelight with the 1987 Bengali film ‘Sagar.’
He appeared in more than 100 Odia and Bengali films like ‘Singha Bahini’ (1998), ‘Suna Bhauja’ (1994), and ‘Mental’ (2014).
One of his dialogues “Heiti Anani Jyoti Mashtrani” from his film became a popular meme. In 1991, he debuted as a theatre (jatra) director in the theatre play ‘Bhanga Aaina.’ He directed many theatre plays and also performed in them. He mainly played negative characters in the jatras.

Death
Reportedly, on 24 June 2022, he committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Prachi Vihar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. His body was sent to a post-mortem at the Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar. As per media sources, he sent a ‘bye’ text to his wife and daughters before committing suicide. On his demise, the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik shared his condolence on Twitter, He tweeted,
I am saddened to learn about the untimely demise of Raimohan Parida. His absence will always be felt in various fields of art, from drama to Jatra and film. He will be remembered for his impeccable acting. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families.”
