After a good ten years of strong growth, does the real estate industry pay its managers disproportionately well compared to other sectors?
In the more than 16 years of my work as a consultant in the real estate industry, I have experienced this upswing at first hand. In fact, today it is the case that at the top management levels, the segment in which we operate and for which we recruit, people continue to be paid absolutely adequately and in line with performance – you participate in the success of the company, and salaries are definitely disproportionately high in general , also with regard to inflation. The salaries in this area are impressive compared to other industries. Including profit-sharing, they are between 700,000 and more than 1 million euros. It must be taken into account that there are many variables and that the salary for the same position can vary greatly depending on the type and size of the company, especially in the case of non-fixed components. The real estate industry has developed further in the period mentioned, has “grown up” and has become significantly more complex, so the salaries and salary components are also more diverse and competitive, because today the industry is interlinked with other industries, such as finance, IT and the pharmaceutical industry, where salaries are higher than in the traditional real estate industry as we used to know it.
