Nirvair Singh (1980-2022) was an Indian singer and taxi driver, who used to live in Melbourne, Australia. On 31 August 2022, he died in a car accident in Melbourne.

Nirvair Singh was born on Monday, 3 November 1980 (age 42 years; at the time of death) in Kurali, Punjab. He did his schooling at Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Kurali, Punjab. He then attended News Network, Punjab and Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab. While he was in school and college, he used to perform in various singing competitions.

Career
In 2013, Nirvair Singh shifted from Punjab to Melbourne to pursue his career in singing. There, he started working as a taxi driver and started making songs with his Punjabi friends simultaneously. In the same year, he sang the Punjabi song “Tere Bina” from the album “My Turn.’
He sang many Punjabi songs including “Ferrari Dream” (2018), “Je Russsgi” (2019), “Hikk Thok Ke” (2019), and “Darda-a-Dil” (2020). Nirvair performed at various national and international singing events.
Death
On 31 August 2022, he met with a major car accident at Bulla-Diggers Rest Road in Diggers Rest, Australia. While he was driving his KIA Sedan car, the car went out of control and crashed into two other cars. Nirvair died on the spot and other injured people were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. According to the Melbourne West Police,
A car which was being driven erratically hit two vehicles in the Digger Rest city. The police arrested a man and a woman in the case but no charges have been laid on them yet, reported the daily. The officials have also requested people to contact them with any leads on the case including dashcam or CCTV footage.”
Nirvair’s friend Gagan Kokri shared the news of Nirvair’s demise through his Instagram account.
