KAnnon fodder is getting cheaper on the Russian war market. This is evidenced by a scandal caused by a letter written by Russian marines from the Far East to the governor of their Pacific region of Primorye. First of all, it is a desperate, touching letter, which tells of the great losses suffered by marines in Donbass. The letter caused a great response in Russia, people of different worldviews reacted to it. It’s hard not to react, because it’s impossible not to watch human life, turned into cannon fodder, ever cheaper without a shudder.
As culprits for their losses (including losses of military equipment), the Marines blame two particular generals who threw them into “a carefully planned attack” (in quotes, read, an apparently senseless attack) for awards and recognition from the army high command and as a result her brigade alone lost three hundred men—killed, wounded, missing—in just four days.
