Across Europe – Tonight numerous TV channels will be canceled for hours

In the night from Thursday to Friday, numerous TV stations will not show a signal after midnight. Because an important fiber optic route is being swung near Frankfurt, over which many programs are running, there will only be a disturbing image to be seen there for hours. Satellite, cable TV and also IPTV are affected.

TV failure on Friday night

According to information from the specialist journal “Digitalmagazin”, the following programs are affected by the failure (selection):

• RTL HD, RTL two HD, Super RTL HD, Nitro HD, N-TV HD, Vox HD, VoxUp SD, Kabel 1 HD, NICK/CC+1 HD, auto motor sport SD, Gute Mood TV SD, National Geographic HD ( M7 packets broadcast via 9 degrees East and retransmitted on numerous cable networks)

• Deutsches Musik Fernsehen, Lilo TV (free TV via 19.2 degrees East)

• Numerous TV programs on the satellite positions Thor or 23.5 degrees East, e.g. B. Nat Geo Wild HD or Hustler’s adult channels.

The pivoting should take place between midnight and five in the morning. During the work, hundreds of hairpin-sized fiber optic cables have to be cut in two places and welded back to the new cable bundle.
