This December 15Renault will join the world of Web3 with its very first collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) called “genR5” in homage to his emblematic Renault R5 of the 70s and 80s. For the occasion, the diamond brand will offer 1,972 NFTsa figure in homage to the year of launch of the model.
These 1,972 NFTs are declined through 4 legendary models of the Renault R5 and come in the form of a 3D video with an exclusive wrap as well as dynamic visual and sound animations.
Overview of the different “genR5” NFT models
Thus, this collection will present the 4 legendary evolutions of the Renault R5:
- 100 electric R5the number of NFTs referring to the hundred units produced between 1972 and 1974. A revolution for its time, the electric R5 goes down in history as a pioneer in its category;
- 160 Renault R5 Turboin homage to this model now a symbol of Renault’s sportiness with its 160 horsepower;
- 450 R5 The Vansuch as the number of copies of this limited edition with features inspired by the American style of the time;
- And 1,262 R5 TLa symbol of the city car revolution.
These 4 NFT models will therefore be classified by level of rarity, and will be randomly assigned upon purchase.
