Popular messaging app: Users worldwide report a problem with WhatsApp
The WhatsApp messaging service apparently has connection problems: users worldwide are reporting that they can no longer log in or send messages. Germany also seems to be affected by the problems.
On Twitter, users made the hashtag #Whatsapp one of the most searched topics within a few minutes. In Germany, tens of thousands of reports have been received since 10 p.m. on sites such as allestoerungen.de. According to the reports, Android users in particular seem to have problems. There is still no statement from Whatsapp itself or from parent company Meta.
More than two billion people worldwide use the popular messaging service. As recently as October, a two-hour outage caused frustration among users worldwide. Meta apologized for the failure at the time, but did not make the causes public.
