According to the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) website, 5 spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs will indeed be launched on the exchange next Tuesday. Which ones are affected?
CBOE Announces Spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs for July 23
Earlier this week, we discussed the strong likelihood that the first spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs would open for trading on Tuesday, July 23, and according to the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) website, new evidence is pointing in this direction.
Indeed, in its section dedicated to new listings, CBOE says 5 ETFs will be available for trading next Tuesday :
ETF Quotes Coming to CBOE Website
As shown in the screenshot above, the funds from the following issuers are currently affected:
- 21Shares ;
- Fidelity ;
- Franklin Templeton;
- Invesco;
- VanEck.
For each of these products, however, the CBOE indicates that the quotation subject to approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) :
We are pleased to announce that an Exchange Traded Product (ETP) will be listed on Cboe and begin trading as a new issue on July 23, 2024, subject to regulatory enforcement.

In the case of the Bitcoin (BTC) spot ETFs, the exchange had rightly announced the listing of the funds the day before their launch. Now, we have to wait until next Tuesday to get the answer.
For its part, ETH is trading at $3,490 at the time of writing, up 2.7% over 24 hours.
As for the other ETFs, BlackRock's is to be traded on NASDAQ while Bitwise and Grayscale's funds will trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
