Microsoft has provided instructions for a mistake after a Windows 11 update. There are problems with login for many users.
The April update for Windows 11 and Windows Server 2025 (KB5055523) was released on Tuesday, which leads to registration problems with Windows Hello for some users. Microsoft confirmed these errors in an official support document. According to Microsoft, the error occurs when the system has been reset locally and the option was chosen to keep your own files.
This is the first time that an update from Windows 11 ensures such difficulties. Microsoft recently had to give up a different problem after several unsuccessful solutions.
Microsoft describes two typical error messages that can occur: “Something went wrong and your PIN is not available. Click here to set up your PIN again” and “Unfortunately an error occurred during facial recognition”.
