At ten in the evening, the American President Donald Trump appeared in the White House and announced that the American military strokes against Iran were a “spectacular military success”. The country's central uranium enrichment systems were “completely wiped”. Iran, the tyrant of the Middle East, must now make peace. If not, future attacks would be more massive – and much easier. At his side, Vice President JD Vance, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio and Defense Minister Pete Hegseth were stuck.
Trump also said in the short speech to the nation that Iran America and Israel wished for death for 40 years. More than a thousand people have been lost. He decided a long time ago that he no longer allowed this. He thanked and congratulated the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They worked together as a “team” – how no team has ever done it. A long way had been put back to wipe out this terrible danger to Israel. He also thanked the Israeli armed forces for the “wonderful work” that they had done. And he wanted to thank the American armed forces who would have carried out the operation. In the end, their services will no longer be needed. In any case, he hopes that.
Trump threatens further attacks
He also thanked the Chairman of the United Staff and everyone who was involved in the operation. There will now be either peace or a tragedy for Iran that will be worse than what has been seen in the past eight days. There are still many goals. The goals that have now been hit were the most difficult. If peace does not stop quickly now, the other goals will be targeted. Trump announced that there would be a press conference in the Pentagon on Sunday morning. Then, if that means, there will be details about the use. Trump thanked God and then concluded with the words: “God bless the Middle East, God bless Israel and God bless America”.
Despite the two-week period that Trump had last set, it was almost an attack with an announcement. On Saturday evening, after the president had returned to the White House from his weekend seat in Bedminster to meet with his national security team, Trump initially announced on his “Truth Social” platform that the American air weapon had completed a “very successful attack” on three nuclear facilities: in Fordow, Natans and Isfahan.
“Now is the time for peace”
The planes are again outside of Iranian airspace. A full bomb load was thrown onto the primary goal in Fordow, the commander -in -chief wrote in a statement, which then also spread the White House. The facility in Fordow was the most difficult goal because there is an underground complex in a mountain massif. Trump congratulated the “great American fighters”. Nobody else could have done it. “Now the time for peace is,” continued Trump, with which he asked Tehran to do without opposites against American goals in the region. The broadcaster CNN reported that Washington Tehran had communicated about unofficial channels that it was a limited blow and no further planned.
CNN continued with reference to the government representative that six B-2 bombers were used with dozens of bunkerbreaking bombs. Before his speech, Trump had already announced that five to six bunkerbreaking bombs had been used in Fordow. 30 Tomahawk rockets were used in the enrichment systems in Natans and in the core research center in Isfahan, which were fired by American submarines from around six hundred kilometers away. This is a historic moment for the United States, Israel and the world, Trump continued.
The White House taught important congress members about the military strike, it said on Saturday evening. Trump also called Netanyahu after the military strike. The Israelis had also been informed about American intervention beforehand.
B-2 star cap bombers moved to the Middle East
Already on Saturday morning American times had indicated that Trump would act. American media reported that B-2-star cap bombers, which can bear bunker-breaking bombs, had left the air force base Whiteman in the state of Missouri. They would have headed the Pacific on their way to the west, it was said, citing government agents and flight tracking services.
However, the sources would have pointed out that there was no order to prepare an attack. Trump had highlighted on Thursday that he wanted to decide on a possible intervention in the Israeli-Iranian War within the next two weeks. It was still unclear whether he only wanted to increase the pressure on Iran with the laying of the bombers. At the end of last week there were still attempts to find a diplomatic solution from the American side. However, Trump had asked for an “unconditional surrender”.
Only the American armed forces have the Type B-2 camouflage bombers, which are the only ones to drop 13.6 tons of so-called bunkerbreaker bombs that are necessary to hit targets deep under earth, rock or concrete. The American Air Force has around 20 of these aircraft, which have a good 18 tons.
Regularly, the camouflage bombers with a range of up to 9600 kilometers are only stationed on the Whiteman air force base. This is around 11,000 kilometers as the crow flies from Fordow. It was assumed that they were refueled on the island of Guam in the Pacific. Satellite images from the past month showed that the American armed forces had meanwhile also stationed some of the tap cap bombers at a base on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. There are only around 5000 kilometers between this base and Fordow.
Before the first attacks by the Israeli armed forces on Iran, Trump Netanyahu wanted to keep military strokes. He still saw a chance for a diplomatic solution. When the Prime Minister insisted that there was a historical opportunity for a military strike, Trump gave in, but initially emphasized that he would not help. After the first successes of the Israeli armed forces, he praised the operation as “excellent”. When the regime in Tehran replied with counterfeits and drones and ballistic rockets partially broke through the Israeli “Iron Dome”, the American armed forces in the region supported the allies in air defense. Shortly after the start of the G-7 summit in Canada, it became clear that Trump is considering direct intervention. He left the meeting in Kananaskis prematurely to advise his security team in Washington about the situation.
