- In 2006, Antara talked about the time when she received the national bravery award at President Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam‘s house for saving her mother from the thieves who entered her house and pinned down her mother to give them the keys to the locker. In the interview, she said that as soon as she heard the noise in her house, she went quietly to her bedroom and called the police station. She later informed her father about the situation who was out for work. Later, she started shouting from her room’s window for help. The watchman heard her voice and came to the house with two constables. In the interview, she further added,
The whole thing happened within 10 minutes and I think it changed me forever.”
- In 2022, in an interview, she talked about her father’s health, who was admitted to AIIMS hospital in Delhi after suffering from a heart attack. In the interview, she said,
My father has been travelling regularly to Delhi and other places across the country for work. He makes it a point to exercise in the gym every day and never misses his workout. He was perfectly fine and has had no heart ailments, so this is very shocking. His condition has neither improved nor worsened. The entire medical team is doing their best. We are praying and hoping he will be fine soon. My mother is with him right now inside the ICU.”
