AXA Group’s holding company, AXA S.A., can now act because the group’s inside reinsurer after efficiently acquiring a reinsurance license.
According to AXA’s capital administration coverage, the insurer is reworking AXA S.A. into its inside reinsurer to improve capital fungibility throughout the group. The plan is to reinsure a part of the group’s European property & casualty carriers by yearly renewable quota share reinsurance treaties.
“The transformation will probably be full following the merger of AXA S.A. and its captive reinsurer, AXA International Re, at present anticipated on the finish of June 2022,” acknowledged AXA.
The reinsurance license was granted by Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de decision, the French Prudential Supervision and Decision Authority.
