Before the Bundestag election: a left front should save us?

Die Rechtswissenschaftler Florian Meinel und Maximilian Steinbeis haben gerade im „Verfassungsblog“ die politische Lage kurz vor den Bundestagswahlen analysiert. Ihre Beschreibungen sind dabei vom Wunsch angeleitet, den gewiss viele teilen, dem Wunsch nach möglichst klaren Unterscheidungen zwischen den Parteien. Adressiert werden vor allem die SPD und die Grünen, eine solche Situation herbeizuführen. Nach französischem Vorbild sollen sie zusammen mit der Linken in eine Linksfront eintreten.

Dazu müssen die Autoren das Feld der politischen Mitte freiräumen, ohne dass dies den linken Parteien anzulasten wäre. Also lautet ihre Diagnose, die Union habe diesen politischen Raum zerstört, der seit jeher durch die Abgrenzung von den Extremen definiert gewesen sei. Die Autoren sprechen von einem „Schulterschluss“ der Union mit der AfD, von einer „geeinten Rechten“, wenngleich „zunächst nur auf einem Politikfeld“. Welches andere Politikfeld sie sich vorstellen können, auf dem die Union Einigkeit mit der AfD zeigen könnte, sagen sie nicht. Die erheblichen Differenzen in den Programmen, etwa was die Europäische Union oder die Stellung zum Krieg in der Ukraine betrifft, werden nicht erwähnt. Der Bruch des Tabus hat für sie die gesamte Partei verunreinigt.

Ob Entschlussantrag und Gesetzentwurf der Unionsfraktion einen „Extremismus“ schon dadurch belegen, dass ihnen Extremisten zugestimmt haben, wird nicht ausgeführt. Es wird nur behauptet, es handele sich um offen rechtswidrige Vorschläge. Erweiterte Kompetenz der Bundespolizei, Begrenzung des Familiennachzugs, Einführung des Begriffs „Begrenzung des Zuzugs“ ins Aufenthaltsgesetz – all das soll „offen rechtswidrig“, soll rechtsextrem sein? Die Zuordnung der CDU/CSU-Fraktion zu einer geeinten Rechten per Deduktion: Wenn die AfD zugestimmt hat, dann war rechts, wozu sie zustimmte.

Anyone who demands a limitation of irregular immigration will then “obsessively” establish a connection between migration and serious crimes. This makes it easy for the question of disproportionate crime to immigrants and suggests that in the Union, migrants were considered to be criminal in the Union. In fact, there are individual statements that seem to prove this, for example when Julia Klöckner (CDU) addressed the Aschaffenburg attack on cultures that do not agree with our way of life. To conclude from this, however, the Union's migration policy initiative implies such confused cultural circle ideas, is only polemical and amazing if legal intelligence is to be assumed. Even though there are a disproportionate number of relatives from those who commit burglary, the paragraph 244 of the Criminal Code is far from being political repression. of people without a residence permit and rejected asylum seekers only agree with low, xenophobic motifs.

It is interesting what political conclusion they draw from it, namely uncompromising. Since there is no longer the space of the political center, a coalition with the CDU under Merz should be excluded on the part of the SPD and the Greens. That sounds nonsensical, because the creation of such a coalition was demonstrated that the Union still moves in the middle and has nothing in mind with the AfD. Such a coalition presupposes to negotiate individual points of migration policy, which should be possible because the SPD in particular already agrees to some of them. But that is not wanted by Meinel and Steinbeis. Rather, the space of a large left -wing coalition has now opened. They appeal to the public service broadcasting, the churches and the German district council to carry such an alliance of the SPD, the Greens and the left. You can obviously not imagine a majority of the left front without such support, but open voting calls from your channels probably even went too far to most of the ARD directors.

Let's recap: Union and AfD are something similar for Meinel and Steinbeis together as the “racial emblem National” Marine Le Pens. This hypothetical alliance currently comes to 35 percent in surveys. It seems unlikely whether she would have any prospect of government participation. Robert Habeck and especially Lars Klingbeil will also think carefully about how much in a left -wing front. Demonstrating together against Friedrich Merz because of a policy area is one thing, but there is no common policy.

The trick is sophisticated and yet easy to see through. A political strategy is proposed, which according to the current status of a coalition of the CDU and AfD, if a government is to be formed at all. Because the pressure on the Union of getting involved in something like that would increase because otherwise it would no longer have any other coalition partner who would bring about a parliamentary majority without another.
