Bosses hate it: With the salary atlas you can find out whether you are being paid fairly
Most employees don’t talk to each other about their salary. As a result, there is little transparency when it comes to fair payment. With the salary atlas you can find out where you stand and have an argument for the next negotiation.
Do you know how much you earn in your job compared to your peers? Probably not. The pay atlas of the Federal Employment Agency now gives you the answer. The latest version of the online tool offers you exciting opportunities to compare your salary with the average.
With the pay atlas you can search for over 4,000 occupations and see how much the employees in Germany or in your federal state earn on average. You can also filter by gender and age to see if there are any differences.
It is practical that you can also search for cities with 500,000 inhabitants. For example, you can find out how much an office clerk earns in Munich and compare that with a colleague in Berlin. The results are displayed to you as a diagram, table or interactive map.
The salary atlas helps you to better estimate and negotiate your salary. You can also see how further training could affect your earnings.
The data in the pay atlas are based on the real income of full-time employees in 2021. They are given up to the contribution assessment limit for pension insurance.
