Brand relaunch: Fanta will soon have a new design and a new taste
The Coca-Cola brand Fanta gets a new design. At the same time, the taste of the popular lemonades will also be adjusted.
Coca-Cola has announced a brand relaunch for the Fanta brand (via: Design Diary). This should start in North America in the next few days before the new design is rolled out globally. According to the soft drink giant, this is the “biggest campaign in the last ten years.”
To date, Fanta has not had a consistent brand design globally. That should change with the relaunch. The logo is now only the lettering in a more angular shape. The small leaf and the white circle disappear.
Fanta: In addition to the new logo, there are also new bottles and a revised taste
In addition to the new logo, the new twist bottles should also form the basis for the new global brand design. You can see what they look like here.
As Coca-Cola writes on an information page, the taste of the popular Fanta-Limos will also be adjusted. Accordingly, the drinks should taste even fruitier in the future – but initially only in North America. In other countries, the rollout is scheduled to take place this year.
“It’s still the Fanta Orange you know and love, but now even more irresistibly delicious,” said Senior Brand Manager Chris Hunsaker in the press release. Accordingly, the step is a reaction to changing customer requirements.
