Comparing prices pointless ?: Media Markt and Saturn are chasing Amazon: many Prime Day offers countered

At Amazon, July 12th and 13th are all about Prime Day. Media Markt and Saturn are reacting to the bargain event with their own promotions: on the two days, the electronics retailers are mainly offering technology products at reduced prices – but unlike the online giant, there is no obligation to subscribe. Successful counter or brazen copy?
Media Markt and Saturn with many offers for Prime Day
Amazon continues its tradition and celebrates the “ Prime Day”: The shopping event exclusively for Prime members has been taking place every summer for a number of years (provided Corona doesn’t put a spoke in the wheel) and has a lot of offers ready over two days, some of which we’ll show you in our Prime present day news. The counter-offers from Saturn and Media Markt are also almost a tradition.
Under the motto “ Comparing is pointless!” or “ Everything must go!”, the two electronics retailers are organizing their own discount campaigns at the same time, which are based on the Amazon event: Prices of promotional products can be spontaneously adjusted to the level of the online giant these days. So far, however, the start has left a lot to be desired – Amazon currently has much more attractive offers up its sleeve.
Nevertheless, bargain hunters should visit the online shops of Saturn and Keep an eye on Media Markt. The actions are running parallel to Prime Dayso on July 12 and 13, 2022. Each offer is only valid as long as it is also active on Amazon. Products that have already been reduced as part of other campaigns can become even cheaper as a result.
Weak start, but the discount campaigns have potential
When it comes to the number and variety of items, probably no retailer can match the online giant Amazon reach the water. Consequently, the choice falls to Media Market and Saturn is much smaller – we find the prelude rather disappointing. Nevertheless, we remain curious to see what else the two days will bring.
Nevertheless, some technology products could really be worthwhile, especially since Media Markt and Saturn provide live advice for many brands. If you don’t want to wait for your order, you can also pick it up at the store.
It remains to be seen at what pace the prices can be adjusted and how long the offers can be maintained – especially since Amazon is certainly watching its competitors and the market closely. On the other hand, bargain hunters could benefit from a real discount battle between retailers for popular products.
