The Security Advisor Donald Trump calls for Iran's task of his nuclear program. In a TV interview, Mike Waltz spoke of a “complete disassembly” of the nuclear program.
“All options are on the table, and it is time that Iran completely departs from its striving for a nuclear weapon.” If Tehran had nuclear weapons, the entire Middle East would explode in a arms race. “This is completely unacceptable for our national security.” He did not want to reveal any further details about the “back and forth” with Tehran on request.
A few weeks ago, Trump wrote a letter to Iran's Supreme Guide, Ajatollah Ali Chamenei, with regard to possible nuclear negotiations. “I have written a letter to you in which I hope that you will negotiate, because if we have to intervene militarily, it will be terrible,” said Trump in an interview.
According to Iranian media, the letter was personally brought to the Iranian capital by an Arabic agent.
However, Chamenei confirmed his doubts about talks with Trump. During his first term, Trump had unilaterally left the Vienna nuclear pact in 2018, was supposed to restrict Iran's nuclear program and, in return, cancel sanctions. After that, Tehran no longer adhered to the requirements of the agreement.
