It’s totally fine to feel extremely fatigued the day after your wedding after a lovely day full of friends, family, dancing, and food. You and your fiancée need some real rest and relaxation just after a big day, after hundreds of hours of preparation, many phone calls, weeping to your mother, difficulty sleeping, bridal parties, and a whole lot of emotions! For those who aren’t going on a honeymoon right after the wedding, these guys can help you with some of the favorite things you want to do with your spouse the day after the wedding!
- Make it official on Facebook and Instagram
Nothing is legitimate until it is posted on Facebook! Am I correct? Change your relationship status to “Married” and announce your marriage to the whole world or Facebook! If you took your spouse’s given name, be sure you change your login as well.
Opening wedding cards and gifts is a post-wedding delight! Whether you established a registry or just went with the flow, there’s no denying that receiving gifts is a fun part of the event. Organize a gift-opening lunch or spend the day in bed unwrapping gifts. Remember to keep track of who gave you something so that you can send out thank-you notes, even humorous gifts like these!
- Keep the Reception Area Clean
This is perhaps the least enjoyable way of spending the day following the wedding, but it is often essential! Depending on the restrictions of your venue, you may have to spend some time the next morning taking away chairs and tables. What’s my recommendation? Enlist the help of some relatives, aunts, uncles, and friends, and designate a cleanup team.
- Make your Honeymoon Packing List
Are you itching to go with your new spouse or wife? It’s absolutely worth spending a couple of hours packing up it all if your major vacation is just a few days away! It will also make you two much more enthusiastic about your future journey once you’ve read this.
- Spend time with your loved ones.
Consider spending quality time with your out-of-town visitors, whether you invite them home for coffee or take them out for a little meal. Make time for these folks who have journeyed from who knows where to visit you! Consider a low-key activity like a boat ride or a picnic that won’t need much of your energy.
- Host a Brunch with a Twist
For many couples, this is quickly becoming a significant tradition. After all, who doesn’t like brunch? It doesn’t have to be a big party, but ask your closest relatives, friends, and anybody else you didn’t get to meet at the reception. Take a look at these sweet post-wedding brunch invitations!
- Schedule a spa day for yourself.
A massage is something I could do every day of the week. So, I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to organize one for the day following the wedding! Schedule a spa day out with your partner, complete with a couple’s massages, facials, and mud baths. Who knows, maybe the spa will serve you some exquisite champagne and chocolates!
