CRC Group, a wholesale specialty insurance distributor, has announced that Lance Lee (pictured left) and Andrew Weinberg (pictured right) have joined the firm as its newest underwriting professionals.
In the firm’s announcement, Lee and Weinberg’s appointments were described as part of its efforts to expand and assist its retail agency clients all over the country.
Who is Lance Lee?
Lee began his career in underwriting with Greenwich Transportation Underwriters, Inc. (GTU) in 2015 as an underwriting assistant. He spent almost nine years with the firm, climbing through the ranks with the roles of associate underwriter, commercial transportation underwriter, and lead-trucking underwriter trainer, before becoming assistant vice president for truck underwriting.
Lee received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He holds several licenses and certifications such as a property and casualty insurance license from the State of Tennessee, a transportation risk insurance professional certification from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI), and a property and casualty insurance license from the State of North Carolina.
Who is Andrew Weinberg?
Meanwhile, Weinberg began his career in underwriting as a commercial transportation specialist in The Paladin group, where he spent almost four years. Prior to joining CRC Group, he was an underwriter at Burns & Wilcox for more than a year.
While the two both join as underwriting team leaders which specialize in transportation, Lee joined CRC Group’s office in Clearwater, Florida while Weinberg joined the firm’s office in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Prior to Lee and Weinberg’s appointments, CRC Group recently welcomed two other underwriting team leaders in its ranks – Michael Louderback and Sam Crawford. Louderback is designated to the firm’s office in Denver, Colorado, while Crawford is based in the Tampa-Bayport, Florida office.
