The musicians and the musicians sit down on the show “Chef's matter ESC 2025 – who sings for Germany?” through, as presenter Barbara Schöneberger announced. They are supposed to represent Germany at the ESC final on May 17th in Basel.
The two siblings come from a musical family from Vienna. Her father, cellist with the Viennese Philharmonic, shaped her career – they played classic instruments early on.
“The youngest song” in competition
However, your ESC song is less classic. “Baller”, according to the title, combines pop, hip-hop and electronics. The beat is rapid and the whole song looks very present. Raab also recognized that early. It was the “the latest song” in competition, he said in the course of the selection process. With the sibling duo, he now has a lot plans. Raab issued the ESC victory as the goal.
Abor & Tynna secured the ESC ticket step by step. In the very last round on Saturday evening, they still had to convince the audience that could decide between five acts. The siblings collected enough voices. In the previous rounds, Raab had made the decisions together with his team and a jury.
The selection procedure was re -established this year. The clear goal: to find a potential ESC winner. Germany's balance sheet in the music competition has been dramatically bad in recent years. The last or penultimate places have been hailing since 2015. Lightblows were only Michael Schulte (2018, 4th place) and last year singer Isaak (12th place).
In order to cast suitable musicians, the ARD, Raab and Raab's new home broadcaster RTL had received an alliance. Three out of four shows of the format “Chef's matter ESC 2025 – who sings for Germany?” Run at RTL, the final in the first. In the beginning there were around 3,300 applications. Gradually, the Raab and its people's candidate was reduced.
The 58-year-old has been considered an ESC specialist in 2010 at the latest since the victory of Lena Meyer-Landrut won under his aegis. Since Nicole and Ralph Siegel in 1982 (“a little peace”), nobody had done it. To date, it has remained the last German ESC victory.
After a long break, Raab is now jointly responsible for the German contribution to the great music competition. In Basel it will also be about his own legend status.
At the beginning of the show on Saturday evening, the entertainer had committed the audience to a common mission with a speech. “My name is Stefan Raab and this is an important evening for Germany. Let us write success story together again. “
