The Ethereum Community Conference (EthCC) returns for its 6th edition
This year again, the EthCC is making a comeback in Paris to bring together the Ethereum (ETH) community from July 17 to 20 at two locations in the French capital: the Maison de la Mutualité and the Collège des Bernardins.
Organized by Ethereum France, the event expects more than 4,000 people and will give the floor to more than 350 speakers. In addition, more than 120 side events are planned on the sidelines of the event.
Among those expected, we can mention Sid Shekhar, blockchain researcher at Coinbase, Xin Wan, researcher at Uniswap Labs, or Patrick Hansen, director of strategy and EU policy at Circle.
On the other hand, the EthVC program will allow selected start-ups to present their project to investors like Bpifrance, HashKey or Accel.

A growing ecosystem
Although the bear market has not been kind to the ecosystem, Bettina Boon Falleur, head of EthCC, nevertheless underlined ongoing industry developments :
“The Web3 ecosystem is at a crucial moment, where it has persevered through a difficult year, showing remarkable resilience and continued innovation. Despite the obstacles encountered, the actors of the ecosystem continue to build themselves. Ethereum, pioneer of these advancements, has experienced remarkable growth, a progression that EthCC has had the honor of witnessing first-hand. »
Echoing this, the Web3 ecosystem continues to attract investors despite a bear market, which is notably symbolized by 439 transactions in the first quarter this year, compared to 366 the previous three months.
More specifically, Jérôme de Tychey, founder and president of Ethereum France, returned to the interest shown in the famous blockchain of smart contracts, including the trust placed in it grew even more since the Shapella update :
“We saw a record amount of ETH deposited after enabling staked ETH withdrawals in April. This demonstrates that difficult market conditions have minimal impact on efforts to build and grow the Ethereum ecosystem. This year, we hope that EthCC [6] will continue to be a breeding ground for talent and productivity, fostering meaningful relationships and community growth.»
WhileEthCC is the largest annual Ethereum conference in Europeit will be a question of staying tuned to the announcements that may be made there during the event.
