DKim de l’Horizon received this year’s German Book Prize for his debut novel “Blutbuch”. Its main character identifies himself neither as a man nor as a woman, rejects common gender naming and describes non-binary identity and sexuality in a sometimes drastic way in a text charged with literary history.
It is known about the person with the stage name Kim de l’Horizon that she studied in Zurich and Biel and was employed at the Bern theaters. Her publisher DuMont gives 2666 as the year of birth. The award will be presented this Monday evening in Frankfurt’s Römer.
