The CEO of ProSiebenSat.1, Rainer Beaujean, surprisingly resigned from his post on Monday. His successor will be Bert Habets, who has been a member of the company’s Supervisory Board since May 2022.
BThere is a surprising change in management at the television company ProSiebenSat.1. Former RTL boss Bert Habets will take over as CEO of the Bavarian television group on November 1, as the MDax-listed company from Unterföhring near Munich announced on Monday evening.
The native Dutchman has been a member of the ProSiebenSat.1 Supervisory Board since May 2022. Habets has experience leading global media companies and expertise in launching and growing video streaming services.
The previous CEO, Rainer Beaujean, had resigned by “mutual agreement with the supervisory board,” the company said. Beaujean’s contract was only extended until mid-2027 in December 2021. The television group emphasized that the Italian major shareholder MediaForEuropa (MFE) had no influence on the personnel.
