The Bahamas Police Force has Placed Cryptocurrency Exchange FTX Under Investigation to determine whether criminal wrongdoing has been committed by the company.

According the press release transmitted by the Royal Bahamas Police Forcethis investigation does, among other things, following the recent freezing of the assets of FTX Digital Markets by the Bahamian financial regulator:
“In light of the collapse of FTX as a whole and the interim liquidations of FTX Digital Markets Ltd, a team of financial investigators from the Financial Crimes Investigation Branch are working closely with the Bahamas Securities Commission to determine whether misconduct crime has been committed. »
Furthermore, let us recall that Sam Bankman-Fried himself is under investigation from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to determine whether the former FTX CEO violated securities law.
The US federal agency, alongside the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) of the United States, also placed FTX under investigation regarding its connections with FTX.US and Alameda Research.
The Bahamas have been the home of Sam Bankman-Fried and some of his employees since last September, particularly for their regulations clearer than those of Hong Kong where the e-CEO of FTX once lived.
Following recent rumors against him, Sam Bankman-Fried recently confirmed that he was still living there and that he was not trying to flee.
