Dhe Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg wants to work more in the background for climate protection in the future. “I still do a lot, but I’m not as visible in the media anymore,” Thunberg told the magazine “Brigitte Be Green”.
The people most affected by the climate emergency should be heard better.
“It’s time to pass the mic,” Thunberg said.
In the nuclear power debate, Thunberg reiterated that nuclear power plants (NPP) are preferable to coal.
“My personal opinion, and I’m not speaking on behalf of Fridays For Future, is that stopping them when coal is the alternative is a mistake,” the 19-year-old said.
When asked about her own disappointment that not much has changed even after 4 years of her climate fight, she said: “When I started, I knew it would take a long time. If you allowed yourself to be disappointed, you would be too. You have to look beyond your disappointment. And hope.”
