JNow they are reportedly planning the next move, the California royals. After a rather short flying visit to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, UK, a few months in Canada’s posh enclave of Vancouver Island and a stay in Tyler Perry’s villa in Beverly Hills near Los Angeles, the ducal couple of Sussex, in the United States simply Meghan and Harry, should move a few miles up the Pacific coast from Montecito to Hope Ranch just two years ago.
“They have determined that they are not adequately housed at their Montecito estate,” the California local newspaper Santa Barbara News Press reported a few days ago. Montecito? Not appropriate? Isn’t Montecito the seaside town where talk show icon and world’s first black billionaire Oprah Winfrey has thrived on her $100 million estate for more than two decades? And where Charlie Chaplin opened the Hotel Montecito Inn back in 1928 to happily relax under oak trees, eucalyptus trees and pink bougainvilleas from Hollywood? What did Winfrey, Chaplin and other celebrities know that the Sussexes haven’t known about in the past two years?
