Several personalities were interviewed for this project, notably Adam Back, one of the first people with whom Satoshi Nakamoto exchanged on the forums in 2008as well as Peter Todd, Bitcoin developer, and Samson Mow, influential entrepreneur in the ecosystem.
Directed by Cullen Hoback, also known for the “Q: Into the Storm” series, the director shared his thoughts on the potential impact of his revelations, foreseeing many debates within the Bitcoin community.
He declared:
“I think we've built a strong argument in this film, and I think the person we end up with is unexpected and is going to cause quite a bit of controversy. I think people are going to debate it no matter how strong our argument is, and that's fine. It’s the nature of this field. We had a lot more evidence than we could include in the film. »
Indeed, since Nakamoto's disappearance in December 2010, many people have claimed to be him or to know his identity, but all of them turned out to be lying or not having sufficient arguments.

What impact would this revelation have on the price of Bitcoin?
Satoshi Nakamoto chose to disappear for various reasons: to avoid being worried by the authorities, as was the case for the developers of Tornado Cash and Samouraï Wallet, but also not to exercise power over Bitcoin.
We see this very clearly with other blockchains, notably Ethereum, where the presence of Vitalik Buterin, its founder, is widely approved. His opinions dominate almost all discussions, and even the best arguments struggle to gain traction if they do not correspond to his ideas or those of the foundation he leads.

Depending on the identity revealed in the documentary, the consequences could vary. If the arguments made are convincing enough and the individual is still alive, this could profoundly affect the future of Bitcoin, as many people could be influenced by his statements. Satoshi, however, withdrew so that the evolution of Bitcoin could be decided by a decentralized community.
Another possible impact concerns the 1.1 million BTC supposedly held by Nakamoto, which was never touched. It is likely that no one, even him, will have access to it anymore. However, if it turns out that he still has the keys, this could lead to thefts, hacks or sell-offs, causing a sharp drop in the price of Bitcoin.
