Amazon Echo Spot 2: Smart alarm clock for 69.99 euros
Before the second Prime Day in October, Amazon is offering its Echo Spot 2 at a reduced price. In this model, the camera has been removed and the video display has been replaced by a digital display, making the Echo Spot 2 an ideal alarm clock for the bedside table. Thanks to the Alexa integration, you can conveniently control smart home devices, listen to music and use many other functions. The device is currently available
for 69.99 euros instead of the regular 95 euros.
Improved privacy and new features
With the Echo Spot 2, Amazon has improved user privacy. The removal of the camera and the new display without video function ensure that unexpected video calls are a thing of the past. The compact design in the shape of a halved sphere remains and now also offers a new color option in blue. The 2.83-inch digital display shows the time, weather and other important information in a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.
The Echo Spot 2 delivers a 44.5-millimeter full-range speaker a rich sound that is ideal for music, podcasts and audio books. Streaming services such as Amazon Music, Apple Music and Spotify are supported, and the volume can be conveniently controlled via voice command or buttons on the device.
The control is via Amazon's voice assistant Alexawhich allows you to set alarms, get weather information and control smart home devices. The Echo Spot 2 supports Wi-Fi 5 (2.4 and 5 GHz) and can be integrated into Alexa routines to control the bedroom light, for example.
