ZTwo investors want to take over the Hunsrück Airport Hahn, which has been insolvent for months. Insolvency administrator Jan Markus Plathner announced on Wednesday evening that the airport will be sold to Swift Conjoy, based in Frankfurt. All employees would be taken over. The company is a joint venture. Frankfurt-based Swift Holding is involved, which according to its own account has mainly invested in real estate and is managed by former LBBW bank manager Tobias Steyer.
The second investor is the English company Conjoy Investment Partners, which was founded at the end of 2021 and in which, according to the insolvency administrator Plathner, “entrepreneurs and executives with profound experience in the aviation, airport, travel and retail sectors” are involved. So far, the state of Hesse held a 17.5 percent stake in the airport. It was not announced whether these shares will be taken over by the investors.
According to Tobias Steyer and Martin Mansell, Managing Directors of Swift Conjoy GmbH, they aim to “continue and extensively expand passenger and cargo flight operations at Hahn. This also includes investments and the creation of new jobs in the region.”
