The interior ministers are considering whether the “last generation” is a “criminal organization” – the climate activists of the “last generation” want to cut the arteries of society “at every nook and cranny”.
An Thursday afternoon, around 30 climate activists demonstrated in front of the Munich hotel where the interior ministers had met for the regular conference. The demonstration was registered, as the politicians had recently repeatedly requested, it was surrounded by a police-secured barrier, the microphone was so quiet that the politicians could not hear the demands and warnings. Journalists were also hardly there. A query in the press archive on Friday revealed: zero articles on the demonstration.
The activists of the “Last Generation” are very aware of this, they know the laws of the attention economy. And so on Friday, after a few days’ hiatus, they announced new civil disobedience actions. “The resistance will become stronger,” it said at an online press conference, especially since there was an influx of new activists. One will continue to remain “peaceful”, it is not about individual groups such as motorists, but about interrupting the arteries of society “at every nook and cranny” so that “not everything continues as before”.
