As Tony Fadell explains, the Ledger Stax is designed to reach a wider audience, for security to follow as cryptocurrencies become more democratic :
“We need a system that is not only easy to use… We absolutely need a tool that truly supports users, allowing everyone, and not just geeks, to take charge of the security of their digital assets. »
For the moment, Ledger’s new hardware wallet is available for pre-order at a price of 279 euros, for an estimated delivery end of March 2023 :

Features of Ledger Stax
One of the particularities of the Stax is its atypical design, which makes it as thin as a credit card : 85 × 54 × 6 mm for 45 grams.
The product has a black and white touch screen, which should allow better visibility of transactions when they are signed. Like the Nano X, the Stax will have Bluetooth functionality. In addition, its design with integrated magnets allows you to stack several hardware wallets on top of each other and it can be recharged via a USB-C cable or a Qi wireless charger.
The image of a non-fungible token (NFT) can be set as the lock screen. In addition, each order gives the right to an “Infitity Pass”, with access to an NFT offered, as well as future benefits not yet disclosed.
In terms of security, the Ledger Stax will also have the same requirements as the Nano rangesas Pascal Gauthier, CEO of the company, points out:
“Digital assets are not limited to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, and are increasingly expanding into the areas of identity and digital property. This future demands a device now within everyone’s reach. A device that suffers no compromises when it comes to security. The solution is Ledger Stax, which combines security and accessibility. »
Thus, Ledger turns resolutely towards mainstream adoption with this new product, in order to consolidate its leading position.
