Bayerischer Rundfunk presents the second interactive “Tatort” edition on the streaming platform Twitch. A top-class team investigates a mysterious murder case – together with the audience.
The successful streaming series is entering the next round: The “Tatort” once again invites you to an interactive investigation on Twitch. According to Bayerischer Rundfunk, “Tatort” enthusiasts can expect the mysterious “Cold Gold” case from the “Gaiglreuth” investigative team on December 4th and 6th on the ARD Twitch channel. The format presents itself as an innovative pen & paper “crime scene” in which the audience can actively participate.
Live investigation in digital format
The concept of “Kaltes Gold” combines classic role-playing games with modern streaming entertainment. Professional actors embody different characters and react in real time to the investigative decisions of the connected community. The selected protagonists enjoy an excellent reputation in both the crime fiction and Twitch communities.
Ferdinand Hofer (31), known as senior detective Kalli Hammermann from Munich's “Tatort”, is an established TV investigator who is part of the team. The Twitch streamer Baso, who already shone in the first digital pen & paper “crime scene” “Tod klickt gut”, returns in her role as Chief Inspector Julia Kröll.
An enrichment for the pen & paper “crime scene” is role-playing veteran Ben&Paper, who has moderated a wide variety of game formats for three decades and is active on Twitch. He interprets the role of Konstantin Saibl. As in the previous case, the renowned pen & paper expert Mháire Stritter confidently leads the investigation.
Mysterious death in “Cold Gold”
At the center of the investigation is the mysterious death of archeology professor Emanuel Hapert, whose lifeless body was discovered at an excavation site in Munich. In addition to the body, valuable artifacts are missing. Explosive: Hapert was already under police surveillance because there were increasing indications of personal enrichment in a scientific context. In his environment, incidents of valuables disappearing during excavations and exhibitions became more frequent. The central question is: Was the professor a victim of his own machinations?
The interactive investigation starts on December 4th and 6th at 7 p.m. on the ARD Twitch channel. Anyone interested can take part live and actively contribute to solving the case.
