Through this new accelerator, which will see its first edition take place next spring, Mastercard is aimed at singers, DJs, or even music producers, in order to support them in the use of new Web3 technologies that are available to them. This therefore includes in particular non-fungible tokens (NFTs), the operation of which puts the concept of intellectual property back in the spotlight.
This first edition will thus accompany five artists, and Polygon was chosen by Mastercardin order to provide the tools that will make up this program.

Renowned partnerships
On the occasion of the announcement of the collaboration with Mastercard, Ryan Wyatt, CEO of Polygon Studio, gave his vision on the added value provided by Web3 innovations :
“Web3 has the potential to empower a new breed of artists to grow a fan base, earn a living, and introduce new means of personal expression and connection on their own terms. »
If news of struggling cryptocurrency ecosystem projects or companies is commonplace during this bear market, Polygon tends to get noticed for its high-profile partnerships instead.. Before that, there was a participation in the Disney accelerator, a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz or even that with Meta for the creation of NFT on Instagram.
Note also that the Starbucks loyalty program is also hosted on Polygon. All these agreements bring real use cases to the networkthus increasing its legitimacy for future partnerships of the same caliber.
Meanwhile, the MATIC price did not particularly react to the news, and trades at around $0.80 when writing these lines.
