Violent incidents are proliferating ahead of the midterm elections in the United States. That is not by accident. Donald Trump, his supporters and right-wing conservatives in the media are heating up the mood.
DDonald Trump says it’s “very, very, very likely” he’ll run in the next presidential election. He does not admit that he lost the 2020 election. His propaganda is known to have been that his victory was “stolen”. This lie and the hate speech of conservative television people are showing their effect. Before the midterm elections for Congress on November 8, reports of politically motivated violence and attempts at intimidation at the ballot boxes set up in public spaces are mounting. More than 15 million early voters have already cast their votes there.
In Arizona, ballot box security has been tightened in the populous Maricopa County of 4.5 million people in the greater Phoenix area after two armed and masked men stationed themselves near a ballot box in Mesa. A voter had filed a complaint because he felt harassed by people who harassed him while voting and took photos of him and his car’s number plate.
