The German furniture manufacturer Hülsta has to go bankrupt more than 80 years after the group was founded. However, operations should continue as usual for the time being.
Two companies in the Hülsta Group have to go bankrupt. These are the Hülsta-Werke Hüls GmbH & Co. KG and the service company DIHUG GmbH. Both cases involve insolvency proceedings in personal responsibility.
Speaking to the magazine “Möbelmarkt”, managing director Dr. Thomas Knecht that the difficult economic situation made this step necessary. The number of orders is lower than planned, while at the same time the costs for energy and raw materials have risen sharply.

Hülsta wants to position itself for the future with insolvency proceedings
Operations at the two companies will initially continue as usual. One is fully deliverable and also wants to bring out the innovations as planned.
With the insolvency proceedings one wants to position oneself better for the future. It is not yet known whether there will also be job cuts in the long term. A total of almost 50 companies belong to the Hülsta Group.
