The police thanked the population for their help. Own investigations and tips led to the arrest, it said. “We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this case.” Two people who had been arrested in connection with the case had previously been released.
Mother saw action
The girl was stabbed to death on a quiet street in downtown Boston early Thursday evening. As the Times newspaper reported on Saturday, the child was playing with her younger sister when she was attacked. The mother saw the act from a café, the newspaper The Sun reported. The paper wrote that one possible motive was that the alleged perpetrator had demanded money for factory work from the mother, who was the head of a personnel agency. The case sparked national outrage, with Home Secretary Priti Patel expressing shock.
