Nawaz began his journey as a social media influencer by posting comedy skits and lip-sync duet videos on TikTok, where he had more than 164.2k followers on it; however, he lost his fan following on the app after the application was banned by the Indian government following the Galwan valley clashes with China in 2020. After TikTok was banned, Nawaz began posting comedy skits and duet videos on Instagram and as of October 2022, he has more than 102k subscribers on Instagram. He also has a YouTube channel by the name of Nawaz Kannada Reviews, where he has more than 7.25k subscribers (as of October 2022).

Nawaz has not only produced several Kannada short films but has also acted in them. In 2021, he appeared in Raktha Pata: The Underworld Story, where he played the role of a psycho killer.
