Sandbox Mutual Insurance names Rob Jones as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO), the insurer says in a press release.
Jones assumes the role following the retirement of Shelley Willick, who’s served as Sandbox’s president and CEO since 2019.
Jones’ promotion becomes effective December 17. He has been the insurer’s senior vice president of growth and customer experience since 2020.
“The board of directors are delighted to welcome Rob into the role of President and CEO,” says Alan Migneault, chairman of Sandbox Mutual Insurance’s board.
“Rob has been a key advocate in Sandbox’s growth over the past handful of years. He was a driving force behind our organization’s rebrand, he led the planning and construction of a new company headquarters, and he continues to challenge the Sandbox team to enhance our technology and streamline our processes to deliver on an exceptional customer experience throughout the organization.”
Prior roles
Jones has professional experience in various segments of the financial services and technology industries.
Before joining Sandbox in 2020, he was Chief Information Officer at Prairie Centre Credit Union. According to his LinkedIn profile, he’s also been vice president for strategy and client exposure at Doxim Solutions and business development manager at Affinity Credit Union.
