There is already support for quick emergency calls in Germany. From summer 2027 RTT will be expanded to include an emergency aid function. This enables the police to communicate discreetly in dangerous situations by text if loud speaking is not possible.
RTT calls can easily be started via the telephone app, and switching to text communication is also possible during a conversation.
