Double Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins launches this Thursday the NFT collection “The Eternal” in partnership with Orange Comet. The cinema giant thus joins the list of artists won over by Web3 technologies.

The legend of cinema Anthony Hopkins publicly displayed for a few months its attraction for non-fungible tokens (NFT) on Twitter. He now immerses himself a little more in this universe with the “The Eternal” collection, powered by the Web3 Orange Comet studio:

Announced since last August, it is this Thursday at 9 p.m. Paris time that investors who have won their place on the “allow list” will be able to mint the 1,000 NFTs in this collection. The latter will include 10 unique animated copies and 990 other unique images.
The 84-year-old actor, also painter since 2005, qualifies non-fungible tokens as a “new web”. It was during the film Zero Contact, released in NFT and shot remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic, that he was able to learn about blockchain technologies.
This collection is based on the theme archetypes of psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. An archetype is a psychological notion that is supposed to define our way of thinking.

The advantages provided by the collection
Among the advantages provided by this collection, we find in particular a Zoom interview with Anthony Hopkins, individually or in groups according to the NFT. There is also an autographed art book, containing hundreds of paintings and drawings by the artist. These advantages being limited, they will then depend on luck, as well as the type of non-fungible token acquired.
In addition, 100 randomly selected buyers will receive an additional personalized NFT, featuring a message from Anthony Hopkins. Up to three copies of the collection can be purchased by the lucky ones, and the price of the mint is set at 0.25 ETH.
Other artists before the actor have been conquered by these technologies, we think for example of Snoop Dogg and Eminen who are probably the most telling examples. This dynamic clearly shows the paradigm shift which is in the process of being operated. More than simple images, NFTs are an additional tool, available to artists, to interact with their community.
