HBO's documentary on Satoshi Nakamoto is particularly anticipated, because the channel claims it will unmask the creator of Bitcoin. Who could he be then? The evolution of stakes on Polymarket shows the hesitations of bettors.
2 days ago, Len Sassaman seemed the most likely candidate, with almost 70% of the bets at the highest. However, he was gradually dethroned after statements from the producer of the HBO documentary. Yesterday, it was Nick Szabo's name that seemed to come up the most, after a Twitter account reported a “leak”.
This morning, however, things changed again: Adam Back is neck and neck with Nick Szabo, and both have won around 16% of the bets. As for Len Sassaman, he only collects 9.5% of bets:

But it is another category which brings together the most bets. 49.5% of punters believe that a name other than those proposed will be revealedor that multiple people will be cited.

Documentary producer gives clues
Cullen Hoback, the producer of the HBO documentary, has been giving clues to the alleged identity of Satoshi Nakamoto for several days. In an interview with CNN yesterday, he thus confirmed that he himself had confronted the person in questionwhich suggests that deceased candidates, like Len Sassaman or Hal Finney, are not the ones who will be nominated:
“We present strong arguments. […] And I think that his reaction in itself is more telling than the evidence we provide.“
Furthermore, Cullen Hoback had confirmed a few days ago that the documentary would stop on a single name. Which tends to eliminate the possibility of an entire team collaborating on Bitcoin.
