Pratik Garg got engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Anila Kharbanda (television actress), on 10 April 2020.

On 8 July 2020, the couple tied the knot in a close-knit ceremony in Kashmir. On their wedding day, Anila made a unique entry on a shikara (boat). Together, they are referred to as Pranila by their friends and family members.

In an interview, Anila shared that some problems arose a day before their wedding. She said,

Just one week before our big day, the wedding planner opted out, the venue was sealed and there was a red alert by the weather department for heavy rains. It was so chaotic but eventually everything fell into place. We managed things on our own. It was more difficult because I was still in my hometown Delhi.”

Further talking about her wedding day, she said,

I made an entry as a bride on a shikara (boat) and everything was grand and beautiful. Even though there was chaos before the wedding, the wedding day was unforgettable. I am in Raipur (Chhattisgarh) with his family, now. They have made me feel very comfortable. For our honeymoon, we will be going to Europe.”

Career

Pratik started his career as a model in 2012. He has featured in many popular advertisements like Kingfisher airlines advertisement with Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Subsequently, he created three ad films for the beverage brand Pepsi. In 2014, he appeared in the short film ‘Yellow Balloon’ in which he played the role of a transgender person. Directed by Minjae Kang, the film is a short narrative about a man who helps a young girl to retrieve a yellow balloon struck in the branches of a tree. The story also talks about possessions and how adults hold on to things, whereas young children let go of things and enjoy the moment. The film was selected as top 10 short films in India and won the Best Story and Best Actress awards in year 2014-2015. In 2016, he played on behalf of the Mumbai Tigers in the Box Cricket League.

In the same year, Pratik starred opposite Sunny Leone and Rajneesh Duggal in the Bollywood film ‘Beiimaan Love,’ marking his acting debut in Bollywood.

He has also played a small role in StarPlus’ TV serial ‘Arjun.’ Pratik has also appeared in a few episodes of the crime television series CID and Savdhan India.
