Working in ‘Aashram’, was like a dream come true! I adore Bobby Deol sir on set and I had a huge fan girl moment. When I was offered the part, it was totally a wow moment for me. It was amazing and heartwarming to work with such a talented and hardworking star, but most of all, he was humble, down to earth and truly supportive. He even encouraged me, saying ‘You are a very fine artist and you are so expressive’. As an actress, these things motivated me a lot.
She added,
The series was one of my most beautiful journeys. We were shooting in Ayodhya, which in itself was so serene and surreal, and personally I believe that the message of the series was so strong that being a part of it, was extremely fulfilling to me as an actor.

Facts/Trivia
- In one of her interviews, the Aashram actress spoke to the media about how she safeguarded two girls and busted a child trafficking ring in Mumbai. She recalls a friend approaching her and informing her that two young girl children in a salon were dressed in an unusual manner. Preeti leapt into action and arrived at her destination. After that, there was a drama in which girl power triumphed and the cops were called. Explaining the whole situation, she narrated,
I live close to the saloon where the two girls were brought and being prepared to be flown to the US. On March 4 at around 1:30pm, a friend of mine informed me on phone that two little girls were in a beauty parlor in Versova with a couple of people who were doing their makeup and talking about sending them to the US. The girls looked very innocent and were unaware of their fate. On getting the information, I rushed to the spot and found that the girls were about to leave the saloon along with two men who were waiting outside. Right outside the saloon was a car parked which belonged to them. It was then that my suspicions grew stronger and I began to confront them. I inquired by the men with the girls who were in a hurry to leave the spot. The girls told me they were from Gujarat and when I questioned them about their parents, one of the four men asked me what I had to do with them. He told me that the girls were brought to the saloon because they were going to attend a marriage function.
She further said,
Before they tried to leave, I stopped them and called the cops. When the police reached the spot, I narrated the incident to them. The cops then took the men to Versova police station.”
- When asked about her experience of auditioning for different opportunities, she narrated,
Someone would say that I am too fair for the role, while someone would say that I am too young/old for it. I had a lot of questions but they weren’t answered. Worse, I was replaced in a film at the last minute and was told that this was happening because I was prettier than the heroine!”
