A former Union Berlin Bundesliga striker scores the winning goal for Nottingham Forest. Four draws and three defeats from eleven games does not satisfy anyone in Liverpool.
Trainer Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool FC suffered another setback in the English Premier League. The Reds surprisingly and unhappily lost 0-1 (0-0) on Saturday at Nottingham Forest, who were bottom of the table.
Liverpool were the dominant team in the City Ground stadium for long stretches and got more out of the game. However, Jürgen Klopp’s team rarely had dangerous chances. Nottingham gave up little defensively and finally took the lead in the 55th minute through Taiwo Awoniyi.
The visitors had chances to equalize in the final stages, but missed the goal several times or were denied by the strong Nottingham keeper Dean Henderson, who is on loan from Manchester United for Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool missed the chance to move up to fifth place and after a good week with the respectable win against Manchester City (1-0) and the narrow home win against West Ham United (1-0) they are already in the crisis again. Liverpool remains in seventh place in the table.
