The startup Retreeb has partnered with Unitlife, an initiative of the United Nations (UN) to launch a collection of 174 NFTs. All profits will go to this organization which fights against a disease that affects 150 million children worldwide: chronic malnutrition.
NFTs to fight against malnutrition
This collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) is officially on sale this Friday, March 3, 2023. From an idea of Jérémi Lepetit, CEO of Retreeb and of a collaboration with Unitlifean initiative of the United Nations (UN), it aims to fight against a very widespread and yet little-known disease: chronic malnutrition.
baptized “17 Goals for the future”, this collection includes the 17 Sustainable Development Goals determined by the UN to provide a common blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet.
Each lens is represented by 2 pieces of digital art projecting an optimistic version and a dystopian version of the future. Each of them will be published between 2 and 5 copies and auctioned today.

Note that works holding a fifth edition will be kept for upcoming physical auctions modeled after the event at the NFT Factory.
Indeed, this project was inaugurated on February 27 at the NFT Factory in Paris, in the presence of representatives of Retreeb, Unitflife and the UN’s UNCDF fund. First two NFTs have been auctioned at a price of 1.7 Ether (ETH) and 5.2 ETH.

Chronic malnutrition, however little known, is a disease affecting nearly 150 million children worldwide. She is the consequence a lack of food quality during the first 1000 days of a child’s lifeincluding in the mother’s womb.
Children not receiving this sufficiently rich diet in this key period of their life will suffer from irreversible symptoms: growth retardation, impaired brain development, weakened immune system and reduced life expectancy.
This is why all of the profits generated by the sale of 174 digital works from the collection “17 Goals for the future” will be distributed to Unitlife. This UN initiative works around the world to fight against chronic malnutrition.
