After four days at sea, the fuel ran out, and after six days the provisions and drinking water ran out. “We put up a tarpaulin to catch the rainwater,” says 32-year-old Rohingya Mohammed Joynal. It was cramped and hot on the ship, and many passengers fainted. One woman died of weakness during the journey.
