Serious injuries are imminent: corn recall at Netto due to broken glass
German consumers are currently having to heed a corn recall. Glass splinters were discovered in a batch of the “Best Harvest Summer Maize” sold by Netto. The affected items have been withdrawn from sale.
EKO Konzervipari Kft. informs about a recall. As “ProductWarning.eu” writes, broken glass was discovered in a batch of “Best Harvest Sun Maize” (330 g can, 285 g drained weight). Since the risk of injury is very high here, the products were removed from the shelves at Netto. Consumption is strongly discouraged.
Only products with a best-before date of August 6th, 2025 are affected by the recall. The corn cans were sold in Netto stores in Bremen and Lower Saxony.
Maize recall at Netto: Other products from the manufacturer are not affected
Customers can also return the affected goods to the locations without presenting a receipt. Other Best Harvest products are not affected.
Consumers can call customer service on 0800/2000015 if they have any questions. This is available Monday to Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Rewe customers also currently have to observe a recall. Since plastic parts were discovered in a cervelat sausage, consumption is also strongly discouraged here. Read more about this here .
