Seychelles is a romantic location for your wedding and honeymoon. There are plenty of options for accommodation, from self-catering villas to all-inclusive seychelles resorts. The best time to get married in Seychelles is between May and September as this is when the weather is at its best and there is less risk of cyclones.
High-season wedding
The high season is from July to December, so it Is the most expensive time to get married in Seychelles. You will also be competing with more people for wedding venues, but taking advantage of high-season offers many benefits that make up for it. First and foremost, you get access to some incredible beaches that would otherwise be inaccessible outside of this period (such as Anse Lazio). Plus, the weather will be at its best during those months! So even if your budget is not unlimited, we would still recommend having your wedding in high season—it is just too good not to!
The weather
The weather in Seychelles is hot and humid, influenced by the monsoon winds. The year-round average temperature is 26°C (78°F). The temperatures are lower on the west coast and inland than on Mahé and Silhouette, which lie close to a warm ocean current. In the mountains, it can be quite cool at night during the winter months as well as in early spring.
Budget
Budgeting is one of the most important parts of planning a wedding. It is also probably the most difficult part, but we will get to that later.
In reality, budgeting is a process; you cannot just go in and set aside a certain amount of money and call it good. You need to start by figuring out how much money you have available (or how much credit you would like to use). From there, assess what is important to you: Is it having an amazing venue? A great photographer? Or maybe just having an open bar? Whatever it is that matters most, put that at the top of your list and work backward from there—the more specific your list becomes, the easier it will be for everyone!
Legalization of documents
The first thing you should do is to contact the Embassy or Consulate in Seychelles of the country where your documents are issued and ask them when they can be legalized. The advice may vary depending on which country you have gotten married in, and it may take longer for some marriages than others.
In order for your documents to be legalized, you will need to provide certain original documents as well as a photocopy of each one. If any of these original copies are not written in English, then they will need to be translated into English by an official translator from Seychelles or another country.
It should also be noted that if the document is not written entirely in English, then all translations must also include certified copies with translations into French or Creole attached to them.

Ceremony
Congratulations! You have chosen to get married in Seychelles. Your wedding is a special day, and it is important to make sure that you look after it as much as possible. Seychelles has many beautiful venues for your marriage ceremony but picking one can be tricky as there are so many options.
Here are some of the most important things to look for when choosing your venue:
Location
The location should be close enough to the airport so that guests don’t have to travel far, but not too close that they feel like they are missing out on their holiday when they arrive at the resort or hotel where they will stay before the ceremony starts.
It should also be near the beach because most people prefer this type of setting over anything else. Also, remember not everyone is going on holiday together so don’t pick somewhere where everyone will have trouble finding each other once they arrive! Plus if you have any specific requirements like wanting an outdoor reception or don’t want any music playing during dinner then having somewhere within reach might help with this problem too.
Space available
You will need enough space for all those who want to attend plus their partners/children/friends etc., depending on how many people YOU want there in total plus maybe some extras depending on whether or not there might be someone else making an appearance at yours instead.
Since most people only invite immediate family members anyways, you don’t have to worry too much about this point unless you are planning something special like having all those closest friends come together once again after years apart since high school graduation
Celebrant
Finding a good celebrant to perform your wedding ceremony is easy, but finding the right one for you can be difficult. The first thing to do is check out their website or Facebook page and see if they have any reviews of them online. If they don’t, that is not necessarily a red flag. Some celebrants don’t believe in leaving reviews because it gives the wrong impression about how many weddings they have done (i.e., more than one).
Once you have narrowed down your options, call each one up and ask them about their experience with weddings. Ask them what kind of ceremonies they usually do; some will specialize in religious ceremonies while others prefer humanist ceremonies or handfasting (ceremonies involving tying knots).
You should also ask how much guidance they give on writing vows and whether there are any restrictions regarding what kinds of themes your ceremony can have. Lastly, make sure that the person has been licensed by Seychelles authorities before making final arrangements with him/her!
Photographer/videographer
If you want to get photos of your big day, you will need a photographer. Choose one who is familiar with the venue and has experience taking photos in similar settings. You should also choose a photographer that has a portfolio of previous work available online so that you can see their style before hiring them. Finally, look for someone who has a good reputation among other businesses in the area—other wedding venues might be able to offer recommendations!
Makeup artist and hairdresser
A makeup artist and hair stylist are important for your wedding, as they can help you to look your best. The makeup artist will make sure that your skin is well-moisturized, and that you’re not wearing too much makeup (which can clog pores). The hairstylist will help you choose the right hairstyle for you, whether it be a straight-up hair do or a more complicated updo.
They can both also assist in helping out bridesmaids and mothers of the bride or groom with their own looks on the big day. This is helpful because some people are not comfortable applying their own makeup or styling their own hair – having professionals take care of this helps everyone get ready quicker!

Wedding cake and food catering options
You can choose from a variety of wedding cake designs, from classic to contemporary, and your cake can be made from an assortment of ingredients such as chocolate, fruit, or even carrot!
If you want your guests to be able to enjoy a delicious meal at your reception then you will need to hire one of the many local food caterers on the island. Some offer set menus while others provide buffet-style food options that are available for you to choose from. The price per head may vary depending on which type of catering service you go with but generally speaking it will be cheaper than hiring staff yourself!
If you want something extra special then why not consider hiring a mobile kitchen unit so that they can cook up some mouthwatering dishes right there at your venue? They also provide all the equipment needed including tables and chairs – perfect if space is limited!
Wedding venues and accommodations for your guests
There are plenty of hotels on the island that offer great packages for brides and grooms and their guests. You’ll find everything from luxury resorts to budget hotels that offer daily rates.
Here are some of our favorite options:

This resort is another great option for larger groups—up to 300 guests! It is one of the most luxurious boutique hotels in Seychelles. This is also right on the beach and there is a pool too. So you will not have any trouble finding ways to entertain everyone while they are here.
